2021 Chevrolet Equinox debuts, with a fresh look and more features

Long a favorite of families on the go and those looking for the convenience and easy handling of a great SUV without the full-size footprint, the Chevrolet Equinox is a winner with the features, safety and technology to take you further. Chevrolet recently released full details on the redesigned 2021 Chevrolet Equinox, and it’s ready to take your daily drive to the next level. While the 2021 Equinox won’t be available at McLarty Daniel Chevrolet of Springdale until this fall, we have all the information you need to get you excited about the first Chevy Equinox of a whole new decade, so read on for more.

While the 2021 Chevrolet Equinox won’t be a complete redesign, it is a significant refresh of the model, with an all-new front and rear fascia, new LED headlamps and a more aggressive grille that echoes the Camaro-inspired front look of the 2020 Chevrolet Blazer and the forthcoming 2021 Chevy Trailblazer. All new for 2021 will be the 2021 Chevrolet Equinox RS, along with the previously-available L, LS, LT and Premier trim levels.

Kitted out for a streetwise, sporty look, the all-new 2021 Equinox RS will features a gloss black grille, 19-inch Dark Android wheels, black badging and Chevy Bowtie emblem and black side rails. Inside the Equinox RS features an RS shift knob, red contrast stitching and a standard black upholstery with available leather.

On the high end of the Equinox trims, the 2021 Chevrolet Equinox Premier trim features a gloss black grille with chrome inserts, LED headlamps and taillamps, all-new 19-inch machine-faced alloy wheels, a logo projection lift gate, French stitched interior and a console in high-gloss piano black.

On the performance front, the 2021 Chevrolet Equinox continues to lead the way your choice of 1.5-liter or high-output 2.0-liter turbocharged engines, backed by either the six- or nine-speed automatic, with the sure-footed performance of available advanced all-wheel drive.

Safety is better than ever with the 2021 Equinox as well, with the latest model bosting dozens of standard and available safety and driver-assistance features, including Rear Vision Camera, a following distance indicator with alert, lane-keep assist with lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, intellibeam headlamps, forward collision alert and more. It’s no wonder the Equinox recently received a 2019 IIHS Top Safety Pick Award and a five-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
