Tailgating News: 2022 Chevy Silverado HD Now Has Multi-Flex Tailgate + More

When the Chevy Silverado began offering the Multi-Flex Tailgate as an option, it was well-received and became a popular feature. Now joining the tailgating party are both the 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500 and 3500 HD. Both models will offer the Multi-Flex Tailgate as an option that gives more tailgate and truck-bed usability to Silverado owners.

FLEXING FOR REAL

The Multi-Flex Tailgate features six unique functions for easier loading and unloading the truck bed, or for when you need a food-prep station while camping out with the family. It’s that versatile! The configuration is user-friendly, too. Just activate the Multi-Flex Tailgate by using a key fob or two tailgate-mounted buttons, one for the full gate and another for the inner gate. There is also a power tailgate button on the instrument panel inside the truck. This amazing tailgate will be an option on all 2022 Silverado HD models in addition to the segment-exclusive Power Up/Down Tailgate option on LT, LTZ and High Country.

2022 CHEVY SILVERADO HD

The 2022 Chevy Silverado HD offers two heavy-duty powertrain options, one being the Duramax V8 engine that cranks out 910 lb.-ft. of torque and a max towing rating of 36,000 pounds. There is also the large and functional Durabed. The latest list of Silverado HD special editions includes: Midnight Edition, the monochromatic Z71 Sport Edition, the eye-catching Z71 Chrome Edition and the Carhartt Special Edition. The Carhartt Edition comes with Carhartt badging, exclusive Mosaic Black paint with pinstripe detailing, two-tone black leather upholstery and a soft tone cover.
