Chevy debuts all-new 2021 Trailblazer
From the all-new mid-engine 2020 Corvette to the incredible look of the 2020 Chevrolet SIlverado, the Bowtie Brand is just full of surprises these days. The latest surprise from Chevrolet: he all-new 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV. Chevrolet recently released details and first photos of the 2021 Trailblazer and to say it is groundbreaking is an understatement. Stylish, roomy, loaded with the latest features and surprising power, one of the most exciting things about the 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer is its starting price, with Chevrolet saying it will start out under $20,000 when it drops on dealer lots this spring!
We’re understandably excited to get an in-person look at the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer, and even more excited to help our customers buy one. Read on for everything we know about this incredible new compact crossover from Chevy.
Slotted in size between the sub-compact Trax and the midsize Equinox, the Trailblazer features the bold, expressive and athletic styling that has become a hallmark of Chevrolet’s family of SUV offerings.

It encourages it with uniquely styled trims that allow buyers to select a vehicle that reflects their lifestyle,” said Stuart Norris, design director of global Chevrolet compact SUVs. “Its design is bold, confident and full of personality.”
Bearing more than a family resemblance to the larger 2020 Chevy Blazer, the 2021 Trailblazer features Chevy’s dual-level grille, with an accent bar spanning the width of the front fascia and integrated with the headlamps. Down below, a simulated front skidplate gives the Trailblazer and adventurous, ready-for-anything look that helps create a well-grounded masterpiece of proportion in a small wheelbase vehicle.
Chevrolet has announced two trim levels of the new Trailblazer, each with unique features, wheels and grille treatment. The Trailblazer ACTIV is built for those looking to get out there and find adventure, with a larger grille opening and more expressive front fascia. Built for off-road fun, the Trailblazer active features aggressive tires and shock dampers designed to provide optimal comfort when heading Trailblazer ACTIV is equipped with unique tires and shock tuning for optimal off-pavement performance.
The Trailblazer RS, meanwhile, aims for a more streetwise performance look, with a mesh grille, unique front splitter and black Chevy Bowties. Both the RS and ACTIV trim levels feature standard two-tone roof color schemes for a modern look that works well with the Trailblazer’s crisp character lines and wraparound tail lamps.
Inside, the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer makes every bit of space count, with dual-cockpit front seating, carefully-chosen materials, contrast stitching and an overall attention to detail that is expected from today’s Chevrolet. The center console provides flexible storage options, with up to 2.5 liters of open storage and 4.4 liters of storage under the padded center armrest.
In the rear, the 2021 Trailblazer features a 60/40 split folding rear seat, allowing the Trailblazer to haul bulky items up to 8.5 feet long. Fold down the rear seats, and open up 54.5 cubic feet of cargo capacity.
Under the hood, the Trailblazer continues to impress, with two advanced, turbocharged engines. Standard power is provided by the 1.2-liter turbo four cylinder. For more power, step up to the 1.3-liter turbo four, with 155 horsepower. Putting the power to the ground is a nine-speed automatic transmission and available all-wheel drive with switchable modes.
