Chevrolet and Domino’s introduce industry-first in-vehicle pizza ordering system!

The in-vehicle touchscreen integrated into the dash of every 2019 Chevrolet vehicle is already making drivers’ lives easier, with instant, voice-activated access to calling, texts, navigation, music and more. Now, Chevrolet has announced that their great thing is getting even better by adding the one thing that makes everything better: pizza!

That’s right: millions of eligible Chevrolet owners can now order Domino’s pizza right through the touchscreen of their GM vehicle and the Marketplace app, so that the pie will either be ready for carryout the moment they reach their preferred Domino’s Pizza store, or arrive hot and ready at their home soon after they get there.

The industry’s first in-vehicle commerce platform, Marketplace debuted in December 2017 as an a free available app in Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac vehicles, allowing drivers to do things like pay for fuel without leaving their vehicle. The system is now available on over a million Chevrolet vehicles.

To utilize the new partnership with Donimo’s Pizza, drivers must set up a “Domino’s Pizza Profile” on their in-vehicle touch-screen, setting their payment, delivery, carryout and pizza topping preferences for easy retrieval on the go. The system works entirely independent from the customer’s mobile device, making it the first pizza-ordering option industry history.

At the same time, Chevrolet put technologies in place that allows us to add capabilities to vehicles already on the road, like the ability for our drivers to order pizza through the touchscreen,” said Scott Goddard, Marketplace line of business leader, Chevrolet. “This new in-vehicle solution is a natural collaboration that both Chevy drivers and pizza connoisseurs can enjoy.”
